FACT100 Low-Life Definitive Edition

The recent release of Low-Life Definitive edition has only reitterated how good this album is. It is only matched by Technique which is a whole different animal. The A side starts with the excellent “Love Vigilantes” and only keeps rising with “The Perfect Kiss” and my all time favourite “Sunrise” which every time i listen to is like the first time it really is fantastic. The B side starts with another masterpiece “Elegia” which is an ODE to Ian Curtis’ then to the classics”Sooner Than You Think and “Sub-Culture”. As you can see in the second image i also have the original in very near pristine condition although due to its age(38) it has discoloured quite a bit .

All three albums artwork by Peter Saville have zero artwork or text . The only text in the box set is provided on a seperate card which contains the credits etc and states “Limited to 3000”

FAC223 New Order – Fine Time

I recently aqquired a near emmaculate copy of fac223 which is New Order Fine Time which appears on my second favourite album Technique the b side contains the excellent “Don’t Do It” & “Fine Line”. On its release in 89′ was at the height of rave culture here in the Uk .And I can say i really enjoyed it along with fac263 “Round And Round”.From a drug fuelled perspective which was my late 80’s early 90’s. The artwork for Fine Time and Technique is Amazing.

I had the virtue of wanting to hang out with people who were more talented than me. I can’t write songs, I can’t perform, I can’t design clubs, but I was an enthusiast. My gift was that I said yes to everybody

Confusion in her eyes that says it all
    She’s lost control
And she’s clinging to the nearest passerby
    She’s lost control
And she gave away the secrets of her past
And said, “I’ve lost control again”
And to the voice that told her when and where to act
She said, “I’ve lost control again”.
